No Door Core Drilling

SDC’s WPT’s RF technology sends power wirelessly across the door gap and allows for transfer of latchbolt monitoring, REX or data signals. WPT is perfect for powering, monitoring, controlling or communicating with failsecure electrified cylindrical locksets like our Electra™ 7200 series solenoid controlled cylindrical locks. These code compliant electric cylindrical locksets stay latched even when unlocked, maintaining fire door integrity.

Simplified installation

Wireless Power Transfer simplifies installations drastically when it comes to retrofitting electrified locks into existing steel or wood doors. This technology removes the need for complex core drilling through the door itself. Requiring less modification to the door and frame and making the process less time consuming

Reduced Maintenance & Enhanced Functionality

There are no external wires susceptible to damage or vandalism. By removing physical wires that flex and eventually break with door usage, WPT reduces maintenance needs and enhances long-term reliability. Unlike some wireless power methods that only transfer energy, SDC's RF technology can simultaneously transfer data signals. This allows for features like latch bolt monitoring or Request-to-Exit (REX) signaling without additional wiring, maintaining high security and functionality.
