Delayed egress locks are designed to delay exit through perimeter doors locked on the entry or access side for security, but also provide an easy and obvious means to open the door on the exit or egress side to meet code requirements for fire and life safety.Delayed egress lock applications include retail loss prevention, pedestrian control in public facilities, wandering patient control and nursery infant protection, as well as warehouses, technology facilities or areas containing hazardous materials or equipment.
Delayed Egress Lock functionality is provided by electronic delayed egress circuitry connected to or integrated into the lock itself. SDC’s Exit Check® line of Delayed Egress Locks come in a variety of device configurations, from Electromechanical locks with delayed egress circuitry and locking components built in, to Electromechanical locks connected to separate delayed egress controllers, and from Electrified Exit Devices connected to separate delayed egress controllers, to Electrified Exit Devices like the new S6000-101 Delayed Egress All-In-One with the controller and delayed egress logic all integrated into the bar.
Delayed Egress using an Electromagnetic Lock is an ideal solution for indoor, outswing door applications with existing latching hardware. On the other hand, Delayed Egress using an Electrified Exit Device does not require existing latching hardware and is available in rim mount, mortise and vertical rod configurations.[/fusion_text][fusion_text]
